This is such an enchanting place, I had to include it in this week’s Fantasy Art Wednesday. These twisted trees look ancient, with their tangled, mossy roots. There is a sense of mystery about this forest. I can believe that fairies or other fantasy creatures might be peeking out at me from between the boulders, or watching me from the branches overhead. The trees seem to form an archway, leading to whatever glorious sight lies beyond in that warm pool of sunlight. What is waiting for us there? Let your imaginations decide…

Something seems very wrong with those trees. It makes me wonder if there was an earthquake or mighty battle here, to make the trees grow sideways as they do.
